On the March 31st 1992, I made the promise of Jesus in John 10:28, my own: “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.” On that day I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour.

I live in Kempton Park, South Africa. I married Willie in 1980, and we have two wonderful daughters, a son-in-law and a delightful granddaughter. Our family pet is a new adoptee named Coco, a Staffordshire Bull terrier.  We are active members of a local Evangelical Reformed Church.

My hobbies are scrapbooking and writing and blogging. I wouldn’t mind writing full time, but for now I am still a shortterm insurance broker

My home language is Afrikaans, and I started this English blog as part of the Proverbs  31 Ministries’ Online Bible Study for which I have enrolled.

    Wow! I am so encouraged by what you wrote. I have often heard that the prayer meeting is one of the least attended meetings in the church. Our strength comes from the Lord and it is only by prayer, reading and meditating on His word that we are able to meet the daily trials of life…..and there are always plenty. There is something about hearing someone pray that makes prayer such a reality in our lives. We are told to come boldly onto the Throne that we might find grace to help in time of need. May the Lord exercise each of us to go on for Him. It is exciting to me to see all the women from all over that have joined in this study and want to say “yes” to God. May He bless you and your family. Your sister through His Grace!
